Pierce Davidson

Field Technician, Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation

Pierce grew up in the Chicagoland area and has always been intrigued by urban ecology. He pursued his interests in ecology by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology/Management from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. When it comes to work experience, he interned for Arizona Game and Fish on their Black-Footed Ferret project. After graduating, he worked as a technician for the Region 5 carnivore monitoring project in California run by the Forest Service. He then moved to Colorado becoming a wildlife crew lead working under a regional wildlife biologist monitoring many endangered species. His favorite part of being an urban wildlife technician has been trapping and studying coyotes up close.
